This chronological list of concordats includes links to the English translations on Concordat Watch. It begins with Napoleon's concordat of 1801, but makes no claims to completeness. However, it illustrates the scope of concordats, which may concern individual institutions, nations and even international bodies.
This is an (incomplete) list of Latin American concordats beginning in the later 19th century. That was when "His Most Catholic Majesty", the King of Spain, lost religious control over his colonies and the new republics made concordats directly with the Vatican.
The “C-word” appears to be avoided, as the Church itself implies, because sometimes it's politically advisable to pretend that a concordat is something else. Vatican Radio says of the word “concordat” that it's “not in harmony with the language of secularism”. This attempt make it into a linguistic matter, deflects attention from the issue of whether the actual concordat is in harmony with actual secularism.
